港の風景が、とっても生き生きしていて、べらんめー調の語り草が最高だ。日本のいろいろな港へ、船を使って行くというのが基本で、そこからエッセイーが生まれてくる訳。つまり、船に乗る行為に、切羽詰った理由はない。ただし、乗ってしまう。奥田さんの、ほわーーーんとした感じがとても良い。奥田さん、決っして無理をしない。でも、観察眼鋭し。知らないうちに、港町旅情に引きずりこまれる、私でした。

うわさの「ソロモン」、大長編である。１部が約７００ページ強ある。旅がいろいろあったので、飛行機の中で結構読めるなあと、思っていたのに、それでも、読破するのに、一ヶ月近くかかってしまった。中学生が、ある事件をきっかけに、立ち上がり、その同級生の謎の死に、まっこうから向き合う。そして、裁判という形で、真実を明らかにしていく。このような大長編で、しかもミステリーの要素もあるお話は、構成に一体どれくらいの時間を費やすのだろうか。そして構図を作り、そこから物語が出発する訳だが、ストーリーが展開するにつれ、きっと登場人物達が紙面からはみ出してしまう事も。作家の気持ちが、書き進むにつれ構成時からずれて行ったり、様々な困難、葛藤があるに違いない。その辺をどのように収拾しながら、一本道を貫き、書き進めるのかな？？すごい心理戦で、ストーリーも大変面白いのだが、一点文句をつけさせて頂くなら、中学生にいくら頭が良いとはいえ、これだけの実行力、判断力、バイタリテイーがあるだろうか？？まあ、とにかくすごい本です。ご期待あれ！

音道貴子シリーズの一冊。これも短編集で、全部でこちらは、６編。もちろん、音道さんの出てくる小説だから、サスペンスで、所謂推理小説なのだが。不思議に普通の短編も出て来て、それが何だかとても新鮮。え、これって推理小説じゃないの？？、という感じになるのだけど、それが又、面白い。音道の活躍は今までにも沢山拝見しているけれど、今回は違った顔を見せてくれる。音道貴子のファンなら是非読んでください。

まさに、「幸せになりたい」と切望する女性達のための短編集。そこは天才の乃南さん、単純な幸せではない。恨みがあり、仕返しがあり、裏切りがあり、見込み違いがあり、恐れがあり、それも深い深いところで、様々な怨念が渦巻く。人間とは、何と大変な生き物か。全部で、７編のお話しが入っているが、そのどれとして、似た手法がなく、短いながらも、山あり谷ありで、面白い。こんな心情になるのは自分にも良く分かる、と、読みながら思う方が沢山いらしゃるような気がするのだが・・。

久しぶりの東野さんの小説。優しさに溢れた、サスペンス小説。もちろん殺人事件が起こるのだけど（一つだけでなく、ね！）、その謎解きだけでなく、東野さん大骨頂の、心理性を読み解いていく方式。現在の事件を解いていくに従って、昔の事件に行き着く。家族の愛情がずんずんと身にしみるお話し。
