Piano Concert “Musica de Espana: Music and Life in Spain” Fri. 2/27/26 at 7:30pm

Occidental College Spanish and French Studies Department has invited me to perform my Spanish program this Friday at 7:30pm. I am so thrilled to share wonderful Spanish music with the OXY community and the LA community.

In the summer of 2024, I was invited to perform a concert in Madrid, the first time to perform in Spain, and after the concert, I explored Madrid (Prado Museum, Palace, Jardin..), Granada (Alhambra, Tablao Flamenco, Albaicin), Barcelona (Gaudi’s architectures), and Mallorca Island in Spain, and learned and experienced a rich culture and history in Spain. This trip inspired me to start exploring more deeply with Spanish music. I am affectionate about Spanish Music and I practice Spanish language everyday!

I have wonderful works by Enrique Granados, Manuel de Falla, Joaquin Rodrigo, Issac Albeniz, and Joaquin Turina in the program. I will share insightful anecdotes about the music and composers. Please join me at the concert.
