Movie “As Good As It Gets”

I watched this movie before, but the second time did not bore me at all. Actually I enjoyed it so much. It is a “good movie”. Melvin Udall (Jack Nicholson) is an obsessive-compulsive writer of romantic fiction. But unlike what he writes, he is quite rude to everyone he meets, including his gay neighbor Simon (Greg Kinnear). When Simon was hospitalized, Melvin was asked to look for his beloved dog, Verdell. Melvin once put this dog in the trash chute in their NY apartment! OMG! But Melvin agreed to take care of the dog, and he began to soften. He plays piano for Verdell, he goes to take a walk with him, he buys toys for him, and he adores him! But he is still not completely over his problems. He has a favorite waitress, Carol Connelly (Helen Hunt), at the local diner, and the romance will begin…

With terrific lead performances by Jack Nicholson as a demonic novelist and Helen Hunt as a Manhattan waitress and a single mother, “As Good as It Gets” is as good as Romantic – Comedy goes! Must see!
