A Movie “ROADRUNNER: A Film About Anthony Bourdain”

It is my movie theater debut after reopening (with a lot of cautions). It is so wonderful to come back to my favorite movie theater, Laemmle. There were only 4 of us in the theater… The theater staff was very careful, but friendly.

“Roadrunner” is still haunting me. What is “Being Happy”? That is all about this movie, I think. I did not know Anthony Bourdain before this movie. Anthony Bourdain was a “larger than life” person, whatever he did, wherever he went, and whoever he met. What is “Being Happy”? to love or to be loved, to think of or to be thought of, to long for or to be longed for.. He had fame, status and family, but he finished his life by himself. He had many wonderful friends (according to the movie) , but he could not seek their help in the end. It seems he was never satisfied. He was constantly looking for an answer ” to be normal and to be ordinary.” He is not unusual being that way. All of us try to find an answer to be happy.
