A Movie – Zero Dark Thirty 1/9/13
January 10, 2013
I have been meaning to watch this movie since the release in December. I saw it today. Kathryn Bigelow is the director. Do you remember her “The Hurt Locker”? She is very talented and has a intelligent-cool mind with a good business brain. The cast is amazing, no doubt! The story is to find Osama bin Laden and kill him by CIA. Actually it is another CIA story after “Argo” this season. Two movies approach so differently. You should watch both!
“Zero Dark Thirty” (The military language of 12:30 midnight) has also attracted controversy and strong criticism for its horrible pro-torture stance and for obtaining improper access to classified materials. It is BASED on the real story, but I don’t know how much they changed…. It is 2 and 1/2 hour long movie, but I guarantee that you would be so involved that you would forget the time. Some of torture scene made me to feel pretty sick. I had to close my eyes often. On the way to the operation to attack bin Laden’s compound US Navy SEALs seemed little nervous, like us musicians before the big performance, only that they may die during the operation. An actual attack to the compound is depicted with precise details. The movie story may be fictional and can be criticized, but it is a great movie to watch.
