A Movie – The King’s Speech 2/5/11

February 9, 2011

This is a story of British King George VI who overcame his stammer with the help of a speech therapist Lionel Logue. Two became great friends for the rest of their lives. The director, David Seidler, had his own stutter when he was young and he relates to King with his experience and imagination. I heard they discovered a notebook of Logue, and the description was included in the screen script. An Acting of Colin Firth (King) and Geoffrey Rush (Logue) are so natural and organic. It is a heart warming story. I enjoyed it.
