もっと塩味を！ 林真理子 中央公論新社 2/1/12
林さんの典型的な文体がちりばめられているーー。辛口で人間の深いところまで、ざくっと切り込む。男女の関係が始まり、悲しくも終焉を迎える。そして、どんどん読者を引き入れていく、ストーリー性。華やかな、ファッション。いつも言っているけど、林さんが超売れっ子なのが、うなずける一冊。
夢で逢いましょう 藤田宣永 小学館 1/29/12
とっても素敵なお話。この本も村上さんのご本のように、いろいろな要素が含まれていて、又登場人物も沢山いるから、ある意味複雑なストーリーなのだけど、芯が一本どーんと通っていて引き込まれてしまう。この本は、フロリダからの帰りの飛行機で読んだ。あっという間に時間がすぎちゃったけどね。藤田さんって、ロマンチストなんだと思う。それぞれの登場人物の心の襞が、じんじん伝わってくる。心の叫びが聞こえる。これも大長編だけど、あっという間に読んでしまった。大推薦の一冊。
1Q84 Book 3 Haruki Murakami Shinchousha 1/26/12
I love Murakami’s books. After seeing a movie “Norwegian Wood” I was thinking to read his book again. So I picked this one, and took it with me on the way to Florida for my concert tour. I was listening Beethoven’s string quartets and reading Murakami world. I could be in my own world separated from the plane. It can be called mystery, or science fiction, or love story. It has all these elements. Well done! We can hear Murakami language throughout the book, if you know what I mean.

私は、村上春樹の大ファン！ノルウェイの森の映画（がっかりした映画だったけど）を見てから、ずっと村上さんの本が読みたくて、フロリダへのコンサートツアーの行きの飛行機でこの本を読んだ。ベートーベンの弦楽四重奏曲集を聞きながら、この長編を読んでたら、長旅も気にならなかった。飛行機の中で、自分の世界に浸ってよかったなあ。ミステリーとも言えるし、サイエンス・フィクションとも言えるし、とんでもない恋愛小説でもあるし。私達を不思議な世界に導いてくれるよ。イメージと現実が交差、実在の人間なのか、それとも架空なのかーーーー。絶対にお薦めの一冊です。
Some of My Lives, a Scrapbook Memoir Rosamond Bernier FSG New York 1/10/12
It is really fun to learn about Copland and Bernstein in this book, and of course other artists as well. I did not know this author before, and it is fascinating to learn about this lady. But is it her self-promoting book?? Everybody loves and adores her for her beauty and charm in this book. Painters, Musicians, Writers—-. Yes, she looks pretty in photos! And what she has accomplished is amazing. Don’t you think we like to eat creamy sauce dish once in a while?
Cosima Wagner, The lady of Bayreuth Oliver Hilmes Yale University Press 1/2/12
The concept of the book is very interesting, but it goes through very small details that sometimes it was difficult to focus on the theme. I love to learn about the life of Cosima, but not where she went and who she met on every single day. I was fascinated by the anecdotes between Wagner and Cosima! Of couse she is a special woman. The photos included in this book are fun to see.
